COUNCIL (Trustees, Deacons)
A Call to Serve:
Serving on your church’s Board is both a privilege and a blessing. It does come with responsibilities; however, the time you contribute is an individual commitment. Are you being called to serve our church in new and exciting ways?
The opportunities for serving our church include:
Trustee- “has charge of the Church’s business and financial affairs and oversees and maintains the Church property.”
Deacon-“all matters relating to the spiritual welfare of the Church community, with special concern for worship,
Christian education, membership development, and fellowship"
Missions-“seeks to promote the work of the Church Members as they reach out in service to the community, the na-
tion, and the world.”
Clerk- records and reports monthly Council meeting notes, annual/special meeting announcements and notes, and occasional correspondence.
Full Members and Associate members are welcome! If you are interested or have any questions, please email Connie Ryan: [email protected] Thank you so much for your support and consideration. Connie (Nominations)

MISSIONS (Current Focus)
Jake'S GARAGE
Accepting ongoing Donations
Purchase a Jake’s Garage T-shirt ($25.00) - Contact Erica
Jake Ambrose passed away in February 2022 at the young age of 50. Jake was nothing short of amazing. He was the type of guy that would give his last dollar to help someone just to put a smile on their face. He was a motorcycle enthusiast & Jake loved his 1977 sportster. Motorcycles were his passion, and he enjoyed riding more than anything. You would find Jake on any given day tinkering up in his barn, working on his bike or car (and everyone else's!)
Mission: Eventually, Jake's Garage might be a physical location where mechanics can volunteer to fix cars, but for now, the plan is to raise funs to pay reputable mechanics in the area to repair the cars of deserving people in our community.

Jakes Ride (Sept 7, 2024)
Jake’s Ride was a big success! Jake's mother, Sandy and Pastor Peter Lovett from First Congregational Church, UCC, sat down with Alex Ray, the founder of Common Man Restaurants, and pitched him the idea of making this dream of theirs a reality. Alex loved the idea. Eventually, Jake’s Garage might be a physical location where mechanics can volunteer to fix cars, but for now, the plan is to raise funds to pay reputable mechanics in the area to repair the cars of deserving people.
