The First Congregational Church of Meredith’s Mission Board is a vibrant group of caring individuals whose contributions are felt both locally and nationally as well as around the world. Our team consists of longtime members working alongside new members who come together to do Christ’s work. Meetings are on the second Tuesday evening of each month where members share in making each mission project a success. New members to our board are always welcome.

Donations may be brought in during store hours, or on Wednesday mornings when the Volunteer/Store Coordinator is there with a small crew preparing for the week. No drop offs please!
Hearts and Hands Thrift Shop formed in 2016 as a collaboration between three local churches, Trinity Episcopal Church , St. Charles Catholic Church , and First Congregational Church of Meredith.
Since its inception, as of December 31, 2023, Heart and Hands Thrift Shop with great joy, we have: ★ Provided for children and young adults through donations to organizations such as The Lakes Region Pregnancy Center, Kidworks Learning Center, local Elementary and High Schools clubs, teams and events, and awarding yearly college scholarships.
★ Protected animals, nature and wildlife by contributing to the NH Humane Society, Live and Let Live Farm, The Loon Preservation Committee, Prescott Conservancy, and Reubens Rescue Ranch. ★ Promoted creativity and entertainment by funding programs such as InterLakes Summer Theater, Pemigewasset Choral Society and Advice to The Players. ★ Fed the hungry with on-going quarterly gifts to Hands Across the Table, Isaiah 61 Cafe, Center Harbor Soup Kitchen and the Meredith Food Pantry; as well as continued support of Got Lunch! InterLakes. ★ Comforted the elderly and sick by supplying funds to InterLakes Community Caregivers, Pemi-Baker Hospice, Meals on Wheels, Make A Wish, Navigating Recovery, and Lakes Region Visiting Nurses. ★ Assisted the disadvantaged through contributing to Bridge House Shelter, Belknap House, and Pemi Valley Habitat for Humanity. ★ Honored our Veterans with donations to Humble Grunt Work, Camp Resilience and the Patriot Resilient Institute.
